Optionals
Wash system
Ice wash system Multijet
In the sledge, located behind the planing blade, is the ice washing system. Nozzles spray clean water onto the freshly planed ice surface, washing away snow remnants, hair, skin particles, sand, or dust from the ice grooves. A rubber lip collects the dirty water at the end of the sled, and a suction pump draws it through the suction ledge positioned in front of the rubber lip and transports it to the snow tank.
For outdoor rinks, in case of rain, the suction pump can be used to remove rainwater from the ice surface through the suction ledge. It’s essential to ensure there is a sufficient amount of rainwater to avoid damaging the pump.
The ice washing system can maintain lightly used ice surfaces without requiring additional water. This allows the ice surface to be used immediately and reduces energy consumption for cooling.
Advantage
Perfectly clean ice is guaranteed. Any damage to the ice is cleared of snow remnants and dirt using water nozzles. The dirty water is suctioned from the ice surface with the suction ledge. Once the ice surface is clean, you can rebuild the ice with the towel or ICEplus. This results in more transparent ice, making advertising inserts more visible. Additionally, the faster bonding process of the new ice layer helps save energy.
Screw conveyor wash system vertical
The screw conveyor wash system is supplied with water from the machine’s central water source. Water is sprayed along the entire length of the screw channel, thoroughly cleaning the screw conveyor from end to end. This wash system can be activated independently during operation, whether the machine is moving or stationary, with the sledge raised or lowered, and regardless of whether the screw conveyors are rotating or not.
Advantage
If the screw conveyors start to clog, you can clean them effortlessly with the push of a button on the dashboard. There’s no need to stop—the ice resurfacing continues seamlessly. This function is available at any time, whether you’re on the ice or in the garage.
Screw conveyor wash system horizontal
Snow bin wash system
The vehicle’s central water supply routes water to the snow tank wash system. Water pipes attached to the three outer sides of the snow tank spray the outer walls at the press of a button and wash away all residual snow.
Advantage
Snow is cleared from the driver’s cab to ensure it is kept clean and in good condition. In particularly stubborn conditions, such as extreme calcification or cold, the wash system helps to remove all snow from the tank.
Wheel wash system with steering
The wheel wash system is supplied with water from the machine’s central water supply. Steering spray elements clean the two front wheels, while the spray elements for the rear wheels are mounted on the sledge.
Special feature: the wash position is located close to the ground, where the tires pick up the most dirt. This means the dirt is washed off before it can contaminate the machine. Clean tires help keep the ice surface at the entrance spotless.
A cleaner ice surface reduces wear on the planing blades, extending their lifespan.
Advantage
Clean ice benefits not only the athletes but also extends the life of the planing blades, saving on costs. Activating the steering wheel wash system before entering the ice efficiently protects the surface from contamination.
Water application
Towel lifter automatic
The classic ice resurfacing method with enhanced towel protection: the towel only touches the ice surface during water application and is lifted at all other times. This prevents freezing while the machine is stationary and keeps the towel clean from ground contact. As a result, the towel stays in better condition and lasts longer.
Advantage
Efficient water distribution is maintained over extended periods of time. At the start of resurfacing, you drive the first few meters without using the towel, only lowering it onto the snow-free surface. This keeps the towel free of snow, ensures even water application, and immediately optimizes the ice quality. When the ice resurfacer stops, the towel automatically lifts, preventing it from freezing to the surface.
Towel support standard
Classic ice resurfacing: water is distributed across the ice using a terry or felt wiping towel. We recommend using a terry towel when the water temperature exceeds 25 °C and felt at lower temperatures.
ICEplus
The ICEplus system operates without a towel: water is sprayed directly onto the ice surface via nozzles. The water freezes faster, filling in deep grooves more effectively, and the transitions between planing paths are smooth. Using low-pressure technology minimizes spray mist, while flaps on the sides of the sledge prevent water droplets from reaching the already resurfaced lane.
Advantage
A brilliant, mirror-smooth ice surface! The innovative nozzle system applies water without a towel, ensuring it settles better in deep grooves.
The low-pressure system minimizes spray mist, preventing increased humidity inside the ice rink. The already resurfaced lane remains unaffected by stray water droplets. The faster drying time also enhances energy efficiency.
ICEplus Flexi
Water spraying system with automatic towel lifter
Combining an automatic towel and nozzle system gives you maximum flexibility in ice resurfacing. All components are securely mounted on the sledge, allowing you to choose between using the nozzle or the towel for resurfacing at any time.
Water sprayer
The water sprayer features a high-performance pump integrated into the machine and a rear-mounted spray nozzle. It distributes a large volume of water evenly across the ice in no time. Controlled effortlessly from the driver’s station, both the water flow and spray range can be continuously adjusted via a dial while on the move.
With a newly designed spray nozzle and optimized droplet shape, the system ensures water is applied in large droplets with minimal air bubbles, making ice building and leveling a breeze. After use, the spray nozzle can be easily detached and stored with just one hand.
Advantage
Our motto: “No steps on the ice.” The water sprayer allows you to build the ice comfortably and safely from the machine, leaving wet feet in the past.
Pro-tip for flawless ice: use the water sprayer 3 to 4 times a week after the final resurfacing in the evening for perfectly smooth ice.
Dasher board processing
Edger
Stainless steel, spring-mounted, and electric height adjustment
The edger is mounted on an independent arm attached to the machine frame, separate from the brush. It has a diameter of 35 cm, is equipped with 12 reversible blades, and is made from stainless steel. Controlled from the driver’s station, the edger is extended and retracted. The cutting depth is continuously adjustable using a dial. With its 3 guide rollers and 5 cm of spring travel, the edger adapts perfectly to the contour of the boards, leaving a clean, 35 cm wide strip where the sled runner follows. The WM edger is a standout feature known for its robust and durable construction.
Advantage
Our motto: “No steps on the ice.” The ice near the boards can be prepared quickly, comfortably, and safely for the next championship game, keeping your feet dry. The cutting depth can be adjusted from the driver’s station (up to -6 mm). The edger can easily shave ice bumps on the rink.
After use, the edger is retracted.
Both the brush and edger can be used separately or simultaneously.
Brush
The brush is mounted on an arm made entirely of stainless steel. It is hydraulically extended, retracted, and powered. An additional joint, combined with gas pressure springs and a board guide, ensures the brush follows the boards with precision and optimal pressure, even at high speeds. The highly robust brush arm is designed to withstand impacts, even when passing through open board gates at full speed. For quick and easy maintenance, the stainless steel brush head can be removed and replaced by loosening just one screw.
Advantage
Open board gates? No problem! The gas-sprung brush arm reacts dynamically and is break-resistant, efficiently handling all challenges.
